| Description | A recording of a 2000-item wordlist of Mono elicited in French. The original recording was made on March 18, 1998 on analog cassette tape. The responses are transcribed in orthography and IPA and aligned to the recording. The wordlist instrument is a draft version of the SIL Comparative African Wordlist (Snider, Keith and James Roberts. 2004. SIL Comparative African Word List (SILCAWL). Journal of West African Languages 31(2):73-122). The recording was digitized in March 2005. Mono is an Ubangian language spoken by about 65,000 people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These data represent the variety of Mono spoken in the town of Bili. |
